Bob Fox started racing his own motocross suspension designs in 1974 and formed FOX Factory, Inc. in 1978; FOX Air Shox took the AMA 500cc motocross championship in 1976 and again in 1977. That damping work is what the truck and SUV line is built on today — monotube aluminum bodies with a true internal floating piston, race-developed pistons and application-specific valving, from bolt-on Performance Series shocks through Performance Elite and Factory Race internal bypass. FOX Factory, Inc. is headquartered in Duluth, Georgia.
