Manufacturer's Warranty — AEM
AEM (Advanced Engine Management) warrants to the original consumer that its performance products will be free from defects in material and workmanship for twelve (12) months from the date of the original purchase. Coverage runs to the original purchaser only and is non-transferable, and implied warranties are limited to that same 12-month term. A product that fails within the period is repaired or replaced at AEM's option — that is the sole remedy, it cannot exceed the original purchase price, and AEM disclaims special, incidental and consequential damages. The Bosch LSU wideband UEGO oxygen sensor is a wear item with a limited life and is not covered; AEM lists replacement Bosch sensors under a separate 90-day term. Not covered: improper use or installation, accident, abuse, unauthorized repair or alteration; normal wear and required maintenance; improper handling, storage or lubrication; reversed polarity (+ and - wires crossed); acts of God; and cosmetic damage such as nicks and discoloration. A warranty return needs a valid Return Goods Authorization (RGA/RMA) number, prepaid transportation and a dated proof of purchase, and AEM must receive the product within 30 days of the RGA being issued. AEM requires the installer or end user to contact its tech line before an RGA is issued — do not return a product or request an RGA before that call, since most issues are resolved over the phone. Outside the warranty period, most AEM products other than discontinued items can be replaced at a discounted rate once the faulty unit is documented as field destroyed, again with an RGA issued first.
Warranty terms are set by the manufacturer and may change. Full details and claims are handled directly by AEM. Contact us if you need help with a warranty claim.
